POLLY BROOKS

Born in London in 1963. Polly Brooks currently lives and works in Italy.

After studying painting at Central Saint Martins School in London, she moved to Umbria (Italy) where she continues her artistic practice. In her paintings and sculptures, Polly Brooks explores an abstract language of form and colour. More recently, she has created a series of meticulously crafted miniature volumes, the result of a manual process that is unique to her.

Critics Chiara Bertola, Guido Maraspin, Aldo Iori, Antonio Pazzaglia and Andrea Baffoni have written about her work.

Polly Brooks’ work has been exhibited in Tunis (as part of Open Art week), Italy (Trebisonda Contemporary Art Centre – solo show) and Germany (Das Kleine Museum), among other places.
